"My life and my work, at their
essence, are about creating
a life that uses human potential
in its fullest capacity. This
means helping myself and others
hospice out the old forms
and ways of thinking that
have outlived their time,
while acting as midwife to
new ways of being, living
and working ."
Tricia Webster is a dynamic speaker, workshop leader, coach and writer. She has 20 years’ experience providing leadership and team training to individuals, as well as to national and international corporations and non-profit organizations.
"One of my primary passions has been to assist leaders, in all walks of life, in stepping into more of their capacity to make a difference with who they are, where they are. This has led me to study leadership development intensely, focusing especially on how to create and sustain real change in our lives."
Tricia Webster is a leadership development consultant and change catalyst who has been assisting organizations and individuals in creating sustainable change for over 20 years. She has been a consultant since 1995, specializing in creating collaborative work teams and helping them move from vision to action.
As workshop leader, speaker, consultant and coach, she has worked with professionals in both for profit and non profit sectors, including information technology, hospitality and tourism, healthcare, government and education. She combines a background in human resource management with extensive experience in strategic planning and business management.
Her work integrates emotional intelligence skills with techniques for creating practical and relevant action plans, helping clients create a balanced integration of inner change (paradigms, values and beliefs) with outer change (action plans, and integration of new skills).
Tricia adds value to organizations on many levels. In her work with leadership she has:
- Excelled in helping clients stretch to new levels of performance, and create more effective working relationships.
- Helped groups move from places of territorialism and low trust, to becoming creative, dynamic and cooperative networks for leading organizational growth and change.
- Been an effective mentor in the area of organizing choices and balancing priorities, helping clients make sound leadership decisions and give the appropriate amount of time and attention what matters most.
She is a member of the American Society for Training and Development and has been a regular speaker at their international conferences. She has been a certified instructor for leadership programs with Franklin-Covey, Zenger-Miller, Learning International and others. She has served on the board of directors for the International Institute for Social Artistry and is committed, through her work in international leadership training, to making a world that works for everyone.
"I feel like my entire life experience has prepared me for the work I do today. Everything is an essential part of our education. Working as a Chief Purser on cruise ships, breeding alpacas for sale, scuba diving, experiences as a human resources director, travel, walking the dog . . . it’s all grist for the mill, or to use the metaphor invoked by my own name, it’s all part of the weave, part of the web!"
Tricia is an associate of Dr. Jean Houston. She has been trained as a social artistry leadership trainer with the Jean Houston Foundation. Here she combines her business knowledge with her passion for empowering individuals and organizations to make a difference in both local and global forums.
"My work with Jean Houston has been a source of ongoing inspiration! It’s a great privilege to study and work with such a master teacher. This work has given me a passion for creating 'teaching learning communities,' and this concept permeates my programs. I believe our future lies in such empowered communities, making a difference with who they are where they are. My work focuses on providing practical tools for those who are stepping forward to make such a difference in their worlds, personal and public."
Tricia’s work is highly interactive. She draws content for her programs from the realm of myth and story, the arts, science and philosophy, to create dynamic and compelling learning environments that provoke sustainable change.
"We work on four levels: physical/sensory, psychological, mythic/symbolic and spiritual. Working through these levels and taking a whole brain/body approach to learning takes us to a place where we can do significant depth work, repatterning ourselves for sustainable change."
Tricia’s interests are diverse and ever-widening and deepening! She enjoys writing, playing classical guitar, scuba diving, long walks in the country with the dog, cooking with friends, and perhaps most of all, the theatre (both as audience and actor). She is fascinated with the blurring of the edges between quantum physics and metaphysics, and with exploring questions around what will create a sustainable future for our planet, both in the inner realm and outer.
"I believe our planet needs people who are, in Teilhard de Chardin’s words, both ‘fully human and fully divine.’ For me, that means exploring my humanity and all its capacities, and knowing that humanity to hold the essence of all that transcends. Perhaps this is our hope for the future . . . finally stepping into our own, magnificent possibility!"
